A TASTE OF ARGENTINA
AT ARTS CENTRE MELBOURNE
With Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Evita’ at the Arts Centre this summer, we are celebrating the spirit, sounds, smells and tastes of Argentina with Stomping Ground ‘La Boca’ - a colourful, engaging and fun pop-up beer garden.
For theatregoers and the general public alike, 'La Boca' will be open in the Arts Centre Forecourt until the end of February.
11am - Late
Alongside our range of locally brewed beers, including an Argentinian inspired lager brewed exclusively for the beer garden, visitors will be able to enjoy a range of Argentinian wines and food delights from Asado by San Telmo.
ARGENTINIAN FOOD FROM ASADO BY SAN TELMO
The sweet and savoury delicacies on offer will pay homage to the flavours of Argentina, including traditional beer empanadas, cheese empanadas, Choripan (and Argentinian chorizo roll with chimichurri), Lomito (an O’Connor’s grass-fed steak sandwich), Ensalada (a coal roasted vegetable salad with chickpeas and ancient grains - to which you can add Parrilla cooked grass-fed beef), and Papas (Argo style fries with chipotle). Then for dessert, summer lovers can indulge in dulce de leche caramel soft serve ice cream, or Alfajor (an Argentinian cookie with dulce de leche).
